Chittur Gurumadam: This location is a memorial of the Thunchath Ezhuthachan. who wrote the Adhyatma Ramayana, He is said to have expended his last days over here. Among the displays, one can find his timber slippers, vintage manuscripts and the idols worshipped by him.
Kalpathy Temple: This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is well renowned for the annual chariot festival. The carnival at this Vishwanatha temple lasts around 7 days.
Kunchan Smarakam: This location is not a common monument, but a memorial of the well renowned bard Kunchan Nambiar. Every year on the 5th of May, the anniversary of the large inventor of satirical art is commemorated with much delight and fervour.
Malampuzha: Located on the smaller high grounds of the Western Ghats, Malampuzha is an attractive and well liked picnic location, which comprises of a dam and manicured gardens.
Palakkad Fort: Regarded as one of the best maintained outposts in Kerala, this outpost was constructed in 1790 by Haider Ali. The British took over the outpost and renovated it.
Pattambi Nercha: This well renowned mosque of Kerala is located at an expanse of 61 kilometres from Palakkad. The annual feast of Pattambi mosque falls in the month of February and one observes a impressive scene of 80 attractively adorned tuskers dressed up for the occasion.
