Bryant Park is a botanical garden that is situated on the eastern side of 'The Lake'. The Bryant Park is a not-to-be-missed tourist attraction in Kodaikanal. The landscape design of the park was conceived by Glenn Bryant, a British Army officer and the place is today a hotspot for horticulture in Tamil Nadu. It produces and exports numerous varieties of flowers that are exported today.
Kurinji Andavar Temple
Kurinji Andavar is a small temple that is found 3 kilometres from the Lake. It is one of the few temples you will find in this city. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and is modelled according to Pallavas temples
Astrophysical Observatory
Built in the year 1889, the Astrophysical Observatory stands on the highest point of the city of Kodaikanal. The position is renowned for the research advancements it has made in the field of meteorology and solar physics.
Water Falls
The most popular waterfalls in and around Kodaikanal are the Bear Shola Falls, Silver Cascade, Fairy Falls and Glen Falls. These waterfalls have more or less been turned into picnic spots now.
Pillar Rocks
Pillar Rocks are found about 7 kilometres from the city centre in Kodaikanal. These are truly three rocks that magnificently jut into the blue sky above to an elevation of about 400 feet. The position is the best to scenery the sunset and the glittering Kodaikanal at night.
