Coorg Tourist Attractions
Coorg expeditions will help you relish the extensive coffee plantations of this mountain station.
Abbey Falls: The magnificent Abbey falls present a breathtaking spectacle with waters gushing down into a rocky ravine. Tucked away between confidential coffee plantations, Abbey Falls bids a splendid backdrop for picnics. The best time to visit the Abbey falls is the monsoons, when the surrounding vegetation develops thick.
Coffee: Any tour of Coorg cannot be concluded without a sense of the extensive coffee plantations that spot the scenery of this mountain station. During the blooming time of the year of March and April, the affluent aroma of coffee wafts through the air of Coorg. Most of them are under multiple cropping of coffee, orange, black pepper, and cardamom at the foundation of the slopes. Plantations are handsomely upheld with recent irrigation and curing and processing services for the beans.
Madikeri: Known for its quaint aged world charm, the township of Madikeri is the local area administration centre of Coorg. Situated at an elevation of 1525 m, the cluster of red-roofed lodgings provides a soothing contrast to the rolling hills around. The 19th century Madikeri Fort houses a number of monuments and shrines within its boulder ramparts.
Trekking: A trekker's paradise, the rolling hills of Coorg present innumerable trekking trails. During the apex trekking time of the year from October to February, avid trekkers embark on the mountain trails spotted with little shrines - some alongside waterfalls, and other people on the banks of rivers. The Brahmagiri assortments of South Kodagu have the most-frequented trekking trails, where a forest trail advances from Iruppu Falls to the Brahmagiri peak.
