Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated all over the country. It is celebrated on the eve of birth of Lord Ganesha. The temple situated at Ranthambore fort is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is considered as the most important temple among all.

How to reach Ganesh Chaturthi
The temple of Lord Ganesha is situated near the fort of Ranthambore. This place is at a distance of twelve kilometers from Sawai Madhopur. At first one needs to reach at Ranthambore by hiring a taxi from Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan. A lot of buses and auto rickshaws will be available for transport purposes. Thus you can reach the fort to visit the temple.

During the Ganesh Chaturthi a lot of devotees join and sing devotional songs. The idols here are decorated with golden ornaments. They felicitate the idol with festoons of marigold. This celebration goes step by step, at the outset, they offer prayers and then pushpanjali, offering of flowers, and at last they distribute Prasad. When the schedule of the ceremony is complete the idol of God is prepared for visarjan (drowning of idol into the river).
