Mussoorie Tours
Popularly known as the ‘Queen of Hills’ within India, Mussoorie is a hill station within Uttarakhand. Adorned with attractive snow ranges in the north-east and glittering looks of the Doon Valley and Shiwalik ranges down south, the town almost deserves the sobriquet of ‘a paradise’.
The Mall: Located in the ‘heart of the city’, Mall is the primary shopping site within Mussoorie. It operates from the old Picture Palace cinema spot and proceeds, right down to the Library. It is known for the antique supermarket at the clock tower. The middle section ‘kulri’ of the mall is known for supermarket, restaurants and TV parlours.
Kulri Bazaar: Kulri Bazaar, lying onto the eastern end of the Mall route, is a lively market place. Here, you will find numerous lodging and dining options that will suit your budget and preferences perfectly. This is a well stocked market whereas you shall encounter what ever you seek - Jackets, Shawls, Branded Clothes, Audio and Video CDs and so on.
Camel's Back Road: Camel's Back Road can be a nice site for civilians whom want to spend a few moments of silence and solitude. The 4-km camel’s hump-like stretch alongside the hills, towards the library end of the town is ideal for undertaking auto and rickshaw rides.
Library Bazaar: Library Bazaar has been so named because of the 19th century Victorian-style Library at the end of the Mall. In British era, civilians of the town would gather here and listen to their known musical bands.
The Churches: There are a number of magnificent churches within Mussoorie. Amongst the most outstanding ones are Methodist Church (in the Mall), Christ Church (near Kasmanda Palace), Old Union Church (near Landour) and Kellog's Memorial Church (on the route to Lal Tibba, in the Landour).
