Situated on the way between Jodhpur and Bikaner at an expanse of 92 km from Jodhpur, Khimsar in the locality of Nagaur takes you through the roadways of annals and royalty far from the normal grind of city life. Located on the edge of the massive Thar Desert in the heart of Rajasthan, the exclusive village of Khimsar boasts a broad variety of enticements, chronicled and picturesque. Places of Interest: Thakur Onkar Singh, the present head and the 17th direct descendant of Rao Karamsi (the initial builder of the fort) constructed himself an additional wing in the 1940's. On trips to Khimsar, you can proceed on excursions too. There is a little hamlet Osian at about 27 km from Khimsar and visit The Sacchiyamata Temple there. Although temple is in not in large state, but is still a significant location to visit. You can visit Cattle Fair, which is in Nagaur, 43 km away from Khimsar. You won’t have any difficulty coming to Khimsar as it is well connected and closest aerodrome and train station is in Jodhpur. You can come to Khimsar by road from Jodhpur.
