
Rajasthan with Taj Mahal Moonlight
Day one :
Departure
Day two:
Landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the wee-hours, ceremonial welcome and shift to the hotel for overnight.
Day three:
After lunch take a ride to Raj Ghat, the Mahatma Gandhi memorial on the bank of River Yamuna, visit Jama masjid built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in proximity to the red fort and enjoy photography. On the return back stop near Chandni Chawk for photography, Rickshaw ride and local cuisines. After having lunch in a city restaurant begin the New Delhi sightseeing including Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, stop for a short while at Bahai Lotus Temple for photography and drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan, the castle of the Indian President, Prime Minister’s office, Parliament House and India Gate, all in the very heart of New Delhi planned by none other than the gifted British architect, Edwin Lutyens and James Baker. Make a departure from Delhi around 4 PM to reach Agra at about 9 PM with a brief halt on the way for meal and shift to the Hotel for overnight.
Day four:
Before dawn take a short stroll to the magnum opus monument of love, Taj Mahal to view it in early rays of sun. After lunch visit Agra Fort palaces of Emperor Akbar made up of red sandstone and Emperor Shahjahan’s milky marble palaces. Also go for sightseeing of the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah built by none other than Queen Nur Jahan herself. For a short duration visit the workshop of the traditional marble inlay artisans (Pietra Dure) organized to witness this most unique art form.
In the early phase of night return to the Taj Mahal again to catch a glimpse of the monument of love in the full moon.

Day six:
After breakfast make a trip to the abandoned capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar the great, Fatehpur Sikri. After seeing the sights like red sandstone palaces of Mughal Emperor Akbar and the white marble mausoleum of Sufi Saint Sheikh Salim Chistie in this captivating abandoned city take a trip to Jaipur which is at 4 hours drive. In the afternoon make a trip to Amber Fort. Enjoy a princely elephant ride to the hilltop palaces built by Kachchwaha Maharajas, take a savory lunch and visit the city Palace and see the textile gallery in Mubarak Mahal. Also visit Sarvatobhadra hall and have a glance over two huge silver urns and Chandramahal courtyard. Have a glance over Diwan-i- Am art gallery where there is a world illustrious collection of painting and portraits of royals. In the evening visit the astronomical observatory of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh.

Day seven:
After taking your breakfast brace yourself for a drive of about 330 km or 205 miles to Jodhpur. Stay overnight in hotel.
Day eight :
After breakfast enjoy sightseeing at Mehrengarh Fort on the hilltop and nearby Jaswant Thada Memorial. . Brace up for a further trip of about 302 kilometers to Jaisalmer which is at about 6 hours drive. On the onset of visit to this city check-in hotel and relax. Enjoy your evening at nearby Sam village having dinner on the sand dunes while scarlet sun is setting behind. Stay overnight in hotel.
Day nine :
After lunch visit one of the largest desert fort; the Jaisalmer Fort also known as ‘Sonar Quila’ constructed by Raja Jaisal, among other things tourists love watching, are the famous Havelis of Patwon, Salim Singh and Nathmal. The Gaddi Sagar Lake and Royal Chattariyan cenotaphs are other tourist delight .Stay overnight in hotel.
Day ten:
After breakfast, get ready for a 6 hours drive. Drive about 290 kilometers or 180 miles to reach Rohetgarh Fort. On reaching Rohetgarh relax, if you are not tired enough, visit the heritage fort. You can even go for walking in the village. Stay overnight at Rohetgarh Fort.
Day eleven:
Take your breakfast at Rohetgarh and drive for Ranakpur. After reaching Ranakpur pamper yourself with lunch at Maharani Bagh hotel in Ranakpur. Start sightseeing of the famous temples around; Chautrmukh Jain temple and other smaller Jain and Hindu temple in a single complex. Drive for 90 kilometers or 56 miles to reach the city of lakes and palaces; Udaipur. Stay overnight in Hotel.
Day twelve:
After breakfast visit the majestic City Palace of the Sisodia rulers Maharanas of Udaipur. The famous Jagdish Temple is just outside its main gate. Enjoy your afternoon to visit the Jag Mandir Island Palace, boating in the Pichola Lake. Stay overnight in Hotel.
Day thirteen :
After breakfast take a trip of about 3 hours (135 km or 84 miles) to the stunning renovated Devgarh Palace situated in the middle of a little village. Overnight in Devgarh.
Day fourteen:
After taking your breakfast in Devgarh, drive for 6 hours (291km or 106 miles) to Samode Palace. Have some lunch and relaxation in the afternoon and rediscover the Fresco Paintings of the Palace and walk the nearby village.
Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day fifteen:
In the morning have your lunch in the hotel and drive for 5 hours (240km or 150 miles ) to India’s capital city Delhi, where you will get farewell dinner and subsequent transfer to the Indira Gandhi International Airport to board the flight to back home USA.
