Destinations Covered: Kochi - Munnar - Anamudi - Periyar - Kumarakom - Alleppey - Kochi
Duration: 9 Nights / 10 Days
Day 01: Arrival at Cochin/ Kochi
On your arrival at Kochi/ Cochin railway station /airport, our representative will welcome you and assist you checking-in at the hotel. Then after, you will go for a Half day sightseeing of Cochin City; St. Francis Church, the Vasco Da Gama Square, Chinese fishing nets, Santa Cruz Basilica, and the Bastion Bungalow. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 02: Kochi - Munnar
After breakfast in the morning you will make a trip to Munnar passing through the incredibly scenic beauty, mountains and clouds on a very low height. Evenings are scheduled for the sightseeing of Munnar that includes the Raja Malai, the highest peak of Munnar mountains where you can spot the Neel Thar (mountain goats). Overnight at Munnar.
Day 03: Munnar - Anamudi - Munnar
After breakfast in the morning give a visit to the tourist attraction of Munnar, that includes visit to Eravikulam National Park, Anamudi peak, Tea plantations, Devikulam, Mattupetty and Pallivasal. Remaining day is at your own leisure. Stay for overnight at Munnar.
Day 04: Munnar - Periyar
After breakfast in the morning make a trip to Periyar with stop at Idukki Dam on the way. On arrival at Periyar check-in at hotel. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary is abode to various breeds of wild elephants, deer, boar, Indian tiger and other animals. Evenings are scheduled for a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake to catch glimpses of wild animals. Stay for overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 05: Periyar
After breakfast in the morning cruise on the Periyar lake to view the rare type of plants and animals. Afternoons are scheduled for the visit to spice plantations such as cardamom, pepper and cinnamon. Also visit coffee and tea plantations. Kerela produces a wide variety spices. It is why Kerela is also called Spice Garden of India. On your returning you can by some spices from the neighbouring market. Stay for overnight at Periyar.
Day 06: Periyar - Kumarakom
In the Early morning make a trip to Kumarakom, an incredibly beautiful and little shy destination in Kerala. On arrival go to explore the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and then embark on to visiting Vembanand Lake. You will get surprised to know that the backwaters of Kerala are only confined to Kerala and there is know equivalent of it. Backwaters are labyrinths of lakes, canals and estuaries that merge into the Arabian Sea. Stay for overnight stay at the Houseboat.
Day 07: House Boat Cruise
You will get yet another day to cruise through the beautiful and enchanting backwaters of Kerala and stay overnight in the Houseboat.
Day 08: Alleppey
On reaching Alleppey deboard from the houseboat. Alleppey/Alappuzha is widely known for its boat races, houseboats and coconut coir products. Kuttanad has a high rice cultivation and is nicknamed as the ‘Rice Bowl' of Kerala. Kuttanad is situated between the sea on the one side and the hills on the other. After that check in at the resort and then go on to visiting the colourful life of Kerala villages and backwaters. Stay for overnight at Alleppey.
Day 09: Kochi/ Cochin
After breakfast in the morning make a trip to Cochin/Kochi. On reaching Cochin/Kochi spend the remaining day in shopping. Evenings are scheduled for a visit to see Kathakali dance performance- typical dance of Kerela. Stay overnight at Kochi/Cochin.
Day 10: Cochin Departure
After taking Breakfast at the hotel and you will visit the Shiva Temple. After that, transfer to the airport/railway station to board the flight/train for your onward destination.
