Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
On your landing at Kathmandu airport, our representative will receive you, and escort to the hotel for checking in. Kathmandu, the political and cultural capital of Nepal, serves as the entrance for tourists visiting the country in the lap of Himalayas. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu
After breakfast in the morning, venture out for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu; Pashupatinath temple, Bodhnath stupa, Durbar Square, and the Royal Palace. By visiting Durbar Square you will catch a glimpse of the cultural and historical past of Nepal. The Pashupatinath Temple With a history dating back to the 4 th century A.D, is highly revered as it is one of the holiest Shiva temple in the world. This temple is listed as the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. The massive Bodhnath Stupa, located 7 km from Kathmandu, is the biggest Stupa in Nepal. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu/ Nyalam
Take a drive from Kathmandu to reach the little shy Tibetan town of Nyalam situated at an altitude of 3750m. You have to drive for 8-9 hours to cover this 150 km distance. This lazy frontier town of Nepal is highly decorated with the verdant green forests all around. Overnight stay at hotel in Nyalam.
Day 04: Yak Kharkha
After breakfast in the morning drive from Nyalam to Yak Kharkha, situated at an altitude of 4675 m. You have to drive for 8-9 hours to cover this 240 km distance. Stay for overnight in makeshift camps.
Day 05: New Dongba
Drive from Yak Kharkha to New Dongba situated at an altitude of 4500m. The 160 Km journey through hilly terrain will take 6-7 hrs. Rest in camps for the night.
Day 06: Mayumla Phedi
In the morning make a trip from New Dongba to reach Mayumla Phedi, situated at an altitude of 4500m. You have to drive up to a distance 210 km to reach this place. This journey is an adventurous one as it is dotted with the snow-capped mountains all around the landscape. Stay for overnight in makeshift camps.
Day 07: Mansarovar
After the morning breakfast, make a trip from Mayumla Phedi to Manasarovar located at an altitude of 4560m. You have to drive for 120 km from Mayumla Phedi to reach Mansarovar. Stay for overnight in makeshift camps.
Day 08: Mansarovar - Darchen
Venture out for the Mansarovar tour riding a Jeep. The visit to Chui Gompa is also part of the itinerary. Further drive to Darchen situated at a height of 4560 m. on reaching Darchen, check- in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel/guest house.
Day 09: Darchen - Dira Puk
Go for a morning drive to Darchen Traboche. This place serves as the base for the Kailash Parikrama Yatra. During Yatra you have to walk on foot. From this place start trekking to reach Dira Puk, 12 km from here at a height of 4775 m. Stay for overnight in makeshift camps.
Day 10: Dira Puk - Zuthul Puk
Start trekking in the early morning to reach Zuthul Puk situated at an altitude of 4700m. This 22km long path passes through the Dolma La Pass (5650 m) and takes 10-11 hr to complete. You will be trekking on difficult mountain path. Return to camps for the overnight stay.
Day 11: Zuthul Puk - Manasarovar Lake (Hor Qu)
After breakfast in the morning venture out for the 14 km trek to reach lake Mansarovar at Hor Qu. This holy lake is situated in the Tibet region of China. The Mansarovar Lake and Mount Kailash are one of the holiest place for the Hindu devotees. Thousands of the Hindu devotees scale the difficult terrain for the legendary Mansarovar yatra. Mount Kailash is highly revered as the abode of Lord Shiva. Pilgrims take holy dip in the lake to get rid of their sins. This yatra ends here.
Day 12: Manasarovar Lake - Mayumla
In the morning make a trip from Hor Qu to Mayumla Phedi. Drive for 6-7 hours to cover this distance of 120 km. Stay overnight in Camp.
Day 13: Mayumla - New Dongba
In the morning, leave Mayumla Phedi to reach New Dongba. This 210 km journey takes 7-8 Hrs to complete. On arrival, stay overnight in camp.
Day 14: New Dongba - Yak Kharka
After breakfast in the morning venture out for a drive from New Dongba to Yak Kharka (4675m). This 160 km journey takes 5-6 hr to complete. Stay Overnight in Camp.
Day 15: Nyalam
Leave Yak Kharka to reach Nyalam (3750m).
This 240 km journey takes 6-7 Hrs to complete. stay Overnight in Camp
Day 16: Nyalam - Kathmandu
In the morning make a hike down journey to reach Kathmandu. You have to drive for 8-9 hrs to cover this 150 km path. On arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17: Kathmandu
Transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
