Tourists coming to Darjeeling can disembark either at the railway station or airport and then drive to Darjeeling. En route one can visit the Sonada Monastery. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and retire for the night in your hotel room. The tiger hills in Darjeeling are a much sought after destination. where you can get a view of the spectacular sunrise followed by a visit to the Ghoom Monastery and Dali Monastery. After breakfast a visit to the Japanese Temple and Tamong Monastery would be a good idea. On your visit to Darjeeling, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaju Naidu Zoo and Tibetian Refugee self help centre. The Pemayangste monastery is another   must -see destination.

Next morning after breakfast, one can embark on a walking excursion to Sanga-Cheoling Monastery. Afternoon would be spent in a drive to Gangtok en route a visit to Bon Monastery at Kewsing can  be made.To call it a day the night would be spent at a hotel in Gangtok.The world famous Rumtek  monastry is a must visit destination in Gangtok. The Namgayal Institute of Tibetology and Do Drul Chorten. The Enchain and Phudong monasteries can be visited from here which are nearly 38 kms or 1.5 hrs away. Enjoy the scenic drive to Kalimpong. where you can visit the Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery. The next day one can spend touring the city of Kalimpong which would be followed by a journey back to Bagdogra airport or railway station to board a flight or train in time for onward destination.
